Chirayinkeezhu Grama Panchayat is located in the Chirayinkeezhu Taluk of Thiruvananthapuram district. This panchayat is part of the Chirayinkeezhu Block Panchayat. The area under the jurisdiction of the Grama Panchayat is divided into several wards, and a representative is elected for each ward. Based on the 2020 local body elections, Chirayinkeezhu Grama Panchayat comprises 19 wards and their respective members. Each ward features representatives from various political parties, alongside seats reserved for women, Scheduled Castes (SC), and the general category.

Chirayinkeezhu Panchayat is situated in Chirayinkeezhu Taluk of Thiruvananthapuram District.This panchayat is very important historically and socio-culturally.The history of Chirainkeeesh can be traced back to 9th century AD.The then Cheraman Perumal was from Mapodaipuram. Administration. Later the region developed further during the Travancore dynasty especially under the reign of King Ayyilayam Thirunal Maharaja.
